Guest Claudia Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Since installing the Windows auto updates l8/14, I cannot open my application QuickBooks 2007 Premier. I get an error message that references Msxml3.dll which is now unregistered and I cannot manage to re-register it. The Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB936181) seems also to have made it impossible for me to use the Update process anymore. I have tried everything I could and the QB support folks weren't able to help either. My desktop is not networked and I run Win2000.

Guest Claudia Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I should have made clear that I had already tried that......and get error 0x80070005. I have also downloaded and installed XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 Service Pack 7 (SP7) but it didn't help. Access denied. Which applictaion are running in the background and which did/do while installing updates for Windows? Waht makes we wonder is how you did install the updates on your desktop running Windows 2000 which isn't "netwaorked". Bye, Freudi
Guest Claudia Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Auto Updates worked fine until after the install. Zone Alarm and Diskkeeper may have been running in the background. The install worked as usual.....but it was at the end of the day so I noticed nothing until the next day.
