Anyone know how to delete from my update list the Windows update for Outlook

Spam/Junk mail filter? .. the reason why is anoying is because I don't use

not have installed the MS Outlook.. I don't need it. But windows update

keeps poping up asking me to update. >|

1. Use Automatic Updates "Notify Only" setting and decline to download it.

(It's literally a new update every month so you'll have to decline it every

month, too.)

2. Change your default update sourece from Microsoft Update to Windows

Update, then update Office manually via Office Update website, declining to

install the Junk Mail Filter update every month.

[Are you certain OL isn't installed? Is Windows Live Mail installed?]

A1. See

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/features/details/windowsupdate.mspx

A2. Go to Microsoft Update website > Click on Change Settings in left pane >

Scroll to bottom of page > To Stop Using Microsoft Update > Disable

Microsoft Update software and let me use Windows Update only (check).

With Windows Update as your default, you will need to check in at Office

Update to keep your Office applications fully patched:
