Desktop Background Frozen

I am not sure it is related but after getting an automatic update last week

the desktop background does not allow it to be altered. The background

block, the browse and the position blocks are grayed and frozen. It only

allows me to change the color. Any ideas what is going on and how I can

retrieve the functionality

Start>Run, and type: (pressing okay after each one)

regsvr32 /i shell32

regsvr32 themeui

Reboot the computer.

or

Restore Desktop Display Properties:-

Line 285 Right hand side - restore display tabs.

I'm having the same problem and your suggestion did not work for me as well.

Any other possible solutions?

Thanks.

Sorry it didn't work. You should post to the "General Newsgroup" for XP.

I would cross post it for you but as I'm using the "web client" it's a

little more difficult.

TaurArian,

Be honest. It's 'way beyond more difficult. It's a PITA! <EG>

E.g. compare how much typing (or finding and copying and pasting)

you would have to do versus what OE can do (Alt-T,N c.w sxp.ge

Alt-s,Alt-A,Enter)
