Guest Joe Medford Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I recieve an error when I go to the Microsoft I recieve 0014-8007007E, right away. I tried some of the microsoft fixes,When I run regsvr32 Inseng.dll, I get this message dllregisterServer entry point was not found. What does the error mean and how can I resolve the issue. I think the error may be with the Inseng.dll, but what could cause it to fail to register. Thanks

The inseng.dll used by IE7 can't be registered via regsvr32 at all. FWIW, Freudi

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/831429 and use the steps for Windows XP and *not* for Windows 2000 mentioned there. Bye, Freudi

Guest Joe Medford Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Didn't help either, I created a slipstream SP2 disk for XP home, and did a repair, which resolved the issue. This is the 2nd computer that had an Microsoft Update issue. My first computer I saw this year, was able to be fixed by what you mensioned above.
