Guest Engel Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I suggest scan your hard disk for errors and fix them. chkdsk /r /f http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/chkdsk.mspx?mfr=true You can also run SFC to repair a corrupted file Goto start and run and type (remember the space after SFC) SFC /SCANNOW press enter and let it scan your system, if any files are damaged or missing they will be replaced using the files on the windows disk - -- --- For more information about System File Checker and Windows File Protection, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 222193 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/222193/ Description of the Windows File Protection feature - -- --- http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html - -- -- http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/66978-system-files.html?ltr=S - -- --- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228 - -- --- Try the above and let us know.
