Guest Hstr Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I have Windows XP and signed up to get automatic updates, but they don't work. When I try to download the safety updates manually via http://www.update.microsoft.com, every update fails. What's wrong?

You may also have a look into the "windowsupdate.log" file to be found in your Windows folder for error codes there. You haven't done a Repair Installation of Windows XP lately, did you? Bye, Freudi

Guest LewisC Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Why can't Microsoft just get it right so that I don't have to waste hours sorting out their inefficiencies "Ottmar Freudenberger" wrote: > "LewisC" <LewisC@discussions.microsoft.com> schrieb: > > >I am getting the same problem 12 of 14 updates have failed 0x80070643 > > See if http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906602 helps. > > Bye, > Freudi >
