Guest DougP Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 System: Windows XP Pro SP2 1.5 G Memory Whenever Windows tries to install the ActiveX update software for checking for the latest updates I receive the following error. Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. When this occurs which happens everytime I have my laptop running it hangs the system. The system will not shut down or restart and the only way out is to hard reset the system. Does anyone have any ideas?
