Guest Jeff@E-Tech Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I have been trying to install the Service Pack 2 for Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server. The update gets through the system check and the file archiving, but when it begins the actual install I get an error message that it cannot install the CAB files. Anyone else having this problem or have a suggestion to correct this problem?
Guest Juan Perez Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Hi Jeff: Did you have installed SP1 in that machine? My experience it is that you need to have SP1 installed, due SBS SP2 installation without that is tricky to say the best. -- Un saludo Juan Perez "Jeff@E-Tech" <Jeff@E-Tech@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2F4B5917-4841-497E-B1EF-36B20B91E59A@microsoft.com... >I have been trying to install the Service Pack 2 for Windows Server 2003 >for > Small Business Server. Guest Jeff@E-Tech Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 SP1 is installed. I just received notice from the automatic update that the SP2 update was available for installation. Guest Jeff@E-Tech Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 First through the Microsoft automatic updates. When that failed, I went directly to the Microsoft website to attempt the download/install (multiple times) and this failed as well.
