Guest Claudia Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 After the Auto Update mid-August, I found that business software no longer would open and file msxml3.dll had become "unregistered." Many hours and attempts later I found help at this site below. Now I'm back up (and I've turned OFF Auto Updates). http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/09/04/solving-setup-errors-by-using-the-subinacl-tool-to-repair-file-and-registry-permissions.aspx
Guest MowGreen [MVP] Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Claudia, The issue is not related to Auto Updates, rather, it's related to the installed security software [Antivirus program, for one]. AU isn't perfect, but please give 'credit' to 3rd party software for this issue .
