Guest Charlotte Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I have low disk space on one of my servers running WinServer 2003. The Automatic Updater has tried to download (several times) SP2 for this. It has failed, but the files seem to be eating up a lot of drive space. Is it okay for me to delete the files in the \Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads directory? I thought these files were supposed to clear out automatically after a certain period, but I have files (taking up lots of space) going back at least a year. I have installed all the latest updates except for Win Server 2003 SP2. I have turned off the downloading feature in Automatic Update at this point to stop it from trying to get the SP. But I need to recover some disk space. thanks! charlotte

Strange and something you may wish to check in the Windows Server newsgroup. Bye, Freudi
