Nomatter what I do I get the boxed message that Windows Installer is

installing..Forever... As I cancel the installer it either sets forever,

locks up system. I have tried to install the lastest installer 3.1, but

there is an error so will not install. I am trying to enstall some software,

so I can backup to an external drive, but will not let intellsheild install.

So now I am really dead in the water.... Any ideas
