Guest jfalco2001 Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 hey i know its been awhile but i have been trying different things to resolve this problem. well when i try to install service pack three for windows xp, i still get the same error message. the last thing i tried was getting the Proplus.msi file and using that file to complete the installation. when i tried to download the file to my pc i got an error message stating that there is a duplicate file on my pc, to remove it go to add/remove programs. but when i go there i do not find it. i did a complete pc search for it and i cannot locate it. why is that? ( That is my first question ) Then i tried to directly use my new Proplus.msi file directly during the installation, then i get a message stating that proplus.msi is not a valid installation package for the product Office xp pro with front page. try to find the installation package in a folder from which you can install office xp pro with front page. why is that? ( That is my second queston ) any help will be appreciated. thank you "TaurArian" wrote: > Only other suggestions require the Office CD. > When you locate the same or in the alternative replaced the missing CD, then > perhaps try a repair install. > K > > "jfalco2001" wrote: > > > Tried to install using full file download. installation faild. still prompt > > for "PRPLUS.MSI'.
