Guest Yousuf Khan Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 In earlier versions of Windows there was a utility called browstat.exe available for download for determining computer browser problems. Is this still available for Win 7 or has it been replaced by something else? Specifically, I'd like to determine which computer on my network has been elected master browser. Yousuf Khan Quote

Anyways, I found the solution on my own, so if others need to look for this solution in the future, I'll just put the link for it here. http://scottiestech.info/2009/02/14/how-to-determine-the-master-browser-in-a-windows-workgroup/ Yousuf Khan Quote

I've never needed this information myself, but who's to say I won't find a need for it next week? Quote

Here's an example: How to Fix Master Browser (MRxSmb) Event ID 8003 errors | HighTechDad Blog http://www.hightechdad.com/2007/05/09/how-to-fix-master-browser-mrxsmb-event-id-8003-errors/ These problems occur on workgroup computers. I needed to find out if there were any other computers were trying to become the master browser in my network. Yousuf Khan Quote
