Guest Llew Ralph Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Using Vista Home Premium I am getting a taskbar notification that 'Windows can't check for updates'. The 'Check for update' button in the 'Windows Update' window reports 'Install new Windows update software' and if the 'Install Now' button is clicked the message 'Windows could not search for updates. Errors found Code C0150004' is displayed. Any suggestions how to overcome this issue? TIA

Guest d4nguy Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I, as well, am having the same issue. Code C0150004 on Vista Ultimate 32-bit. Event ID 25, WindosUpdateClient. I wonder if there is a way to uninstall Windows Update and reinstall it?

Thinking back, I got this install disk at the Windows Vista Launch Preview and I didn't realize that it is beta version. My question now is, if I buy a retail version how to I install the new version but not change any install programs etc. Russ
