Guest velcroviv Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 I have been trying to update my video card on my laptop in order to play a Big Fish Game, but it will fail to update. My card is: Mobile Intel® 945 GM Express Chipset Family. I don't know why it failed to update. Can't find an answer anywhere. Anyone else have any suggestions? Thanks.

If you are trying to update drivers, are you sure you have the correct Vista drivers for your graphics chip? In general, you are much better off obtaining drivers directly, then installing them manually, rather than relying on Windows Update for drivers. Also, please quote any error message you receive during the failed update. You also may want to read this: http://softwarecommunity.intel.com/isn/Community/en-US/forums/thread/30236465.aspx It appears there may be issues with the latest Intel drivers.
Guest realcestmoi Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Hi there, If your hardware works fine: leave it be working fine and never take driver updates from windows update unless they are driver(s) for a microsoft device, if not go to the manufacturers website that is IF an update is NEEDED because the hardware is not working well.
