Guest diabulos Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Could MS please update the error codes list in Vista's help feature? I keep getting error codes when installing updates from Windows update and none of the codes I get (about 3 different ones in several instances) appears in the help or in your site (extensive search done. If there is an error code, surely, somewhere there is a definition for that code? isn't it? it would help us users to be able to find it, otherwise, it is a bit of a laugh at our expense to put the code there and not be able to find a reference to it at all. Guest PA Bear Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 And the error codes and full error messages would be...? See if they're listed here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/blogs/mowgreen/index.php?showentry=1122 or in any of the other blog entries here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/blogs/mowgreen/index.php -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin DTS-L.org diabulos wrote: > Could MS please update the error codes list in Vista's help feature? Guest diabulos Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Sorry, I felt they were irrelevant, as it was supposed to be a suggestion, and the issue is that many error codes returned by windows update are not documented in the help or in the MS site. Guest PA Bear Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Don't hold your breath. [FYI, the majority of the experts here are not accessing the newsgroups via the Community web-interface (we use an NNTP newsreader instead) and so cannot "vote" on posts such as yours.] -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net http://dts-l.org/ diabulos wrote: > Sorry, I felt they were irrelevant, as it was supposed to be a suggestion, > and the issue is that many error codes returned by windows update are not > documented in the help or in the MS site. > > "diabulos" wrote: > >> Could MS please update the error codes list in Vista's help feature?
