Guest Jayant Joshi Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Hi, I have purchased Toshiba Laptop, Satellite-A200, very latest model. I face big problem during strtup and after that also NO DEVICE was allowed me to open it. We understand that having Laptop, we suppose to use any Flash Drive, External Drive OR External Hard Drive. BUT IT WAS NOT WORKING. Then I downloaded some free software for window vista, Some how it is working. But yet, some like WINRAR, I need to Buy it ? Why ? It should be available along with windows Vista. I hope there is good tie up between Microsoft and Toshiba for giving this model along with Window Vista Basic. Can you help me ? Your post is confusing - please clear things up... You bought a new laptop with Windows Vista Basic edition installed. I am guessing after this point, but you plugged a thumb drive, flash drive, external USB hard disk drive of some sort in and it would not mount as a drive letter? You could not access the data on the drive because in Explorer - you were never presented with a drive letter to get to the data? -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
