Guest Greg Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 I've turn the computer off when it was loading updates (which it said not too, but I was in a rush) Now every time I log off, it prompts to install updates, at which it goes into normal update procedure, ie 'installing update 1 of 5' "Do not turn off the computer". At which point it hangs. How do I get update to install correctly ? -- Greg McLandsborough
Guest thecreator Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Hi Greg, First visit Windows Update and manually update the computer. If that fails, then reregister Windows Update components under Step 2 of this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927385 -- thecreator "Greg" <Greg@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:EA1E5392-F1EE-4BEA-9EF6-DDBF6103D63A@microsoft.com... > I've turn the computer off when it was loading updates (which it said not > too, but I was in a rush) Now every time I log off, it prompts to install > updates, at which it goes into normal update procedure, ie 'installing > update > 1 of 5' "Do not turn off the computer".
