Guest Karl Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I have looked at the known issues. My log file (%windir%\msxml4-KB936181-enu.LOG) Is at the following office live url. It was to large to post with the 30,000 character limit. http://seriesexplorer.com/KB936181.aspx Thanks for any help, Karl
Guest MowGreen [MVP] Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 The update is failing to install due to this: Error 1402. Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\Msxml2.XMLSchemaCache.4.0\CLSID. System error 5. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel. Open the registry editor, Start > Run > type in regedit Click OK Drill down to the following subkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes Right click Classes, choose Permissions It should show Group or user names: Everyone Permissions for Everyone should be Full Control Read I think that's the Parent where the Permissions for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\Msxml2.XMLSchemaCache.4.0\CLSID are inherited.
