Guest Smoky Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I did a search on IE7 pop ups and could only find two listings. My question is, everytime I use msn.com and use IE7 I get constant pop ups that I cannot block. I am on dial up at 28 kbps and the pop ups are very annoying. How do I stop them. I did not have this problem with IE6. Second problem, when I click on favorites to go to a specific web site IE7 takes me to where ever they want to go which includes pop ups and videos of movies, etc. I do not want that to happen. How do I stop it. -- Smoky "leelee1987" wrote: > im trying to remove this and go back to explorer 6. but i cant find it in my > add and remove programs. ive try to find a uninstallin for it and cant find > that and ive tryed restalling it but it wont work. > > also recently i have been getting 2 pop ups about this new anti virus for > sale. my windos pop up block is on the highest setting and still doesnt stop > them could this be fix
Guest PA Bear Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log to an appropriate forum. It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with assistance from an expert. **Post your log to http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22, http://castlecops.com/forum67.html, http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?showforum=7, http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30, or other appropriate forums for expert analysis, not here.** If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
