Guest Bill45 Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 XP Home w/IE7 If IE is essentially shut down, no downloads permitted, Active X off & extreme high security setting, updates turned off, how would MS slip the update-update across to my system? Moot anyway since I manually find and download updates as necessary using FF. Will (or can) the Windows download site(s) push the update-update across a non MS browser not having ActiveX? Just curious and am not concerned, but the side benefit to me is update will no longer work even by accident, right? It's disabled if the update-update is not installed? please reply to my E-mail as I won't be able to find my way back here again. Squirrels ate the cookie crumbs. mozsugg@isp.com
