Re: error 80070424 windows update VISTA

i've just noticed that an update has been installed, SINCE i have had

this problem: the windows malicious software removal tool -september

2007 (KB890830). This was intalled on 16/09/2007.

 

Thought this might be worth mentioning in case it helps determine which

files are corrupt. eg is that update something that can be detected via

a different route than windows update, which is still giving me the

same error (80070424) and not searching for updates.

I've been getting some updates too - just not the critical ones. See some
