Windows 7 keeps telling me that the update service is not running and to restart my computer, did th

When I go to do a system update a red shield with an x in it says " Check for updates for you computer" and i click the "Check for updates" button and a box pops up and says "Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not

running. You may need to restart your computer."

 

 

 

Ive restarted my computer many times and it still will not update. Ive done the Microsoft Mr. Fixit thing and it says that it fixed it but it still doesnt work...
