unable to action any posted solutions to error 8024402C, unable to receive auto updates since 21.04.

using Vista and have been receiving auto updates for 2 years until they suddenly stopped

have exhausted all posted fixes suggested in Help for this error

what is my next step to resume auto updates on this computer?
