hard drive failure, restored system, now all my media and documents files are missing, just GONE. an

I was workiing online, and I started having issues with ie10, freezes, shut downs, and then the whole hard drive crashed, every program, system file gone. Used system restore to regain control of my computer, but now all of my media files, music, pictures

everything are gone. How can I locate them, and restore them. In word the documents will open, but there is no trace of them in the libraries files....etc.
