downloading pictures from camera to computer

When I hook up camera to computer it instantly says locating and importing pictures. After 10 minutes of loading and importing the computer screen says cannot locate new pictures or videos. Camera has pictures needing to download. I tryed second camera

with same results. Nothing is being downloaded to computer.
