Administrators AWS Posted December 11, 2012 Administrators Posted December 11, 2012 Just upgraded my Dell Inspiron (4 months old) to Win 8 Pro. I wanted to take advantage of the free Media Pack upgrade, but am unable to do so because there are 4 updates that refuse to work: KB2770041 KB2768703 KB2769165 KB2770917 In looking at other posts, I see that this is not an uncommon problem. I have tried installing the individual components to these updates, and they all fail as well. I tried the approach of using msconfig to disable all the non-MS services first (and rebooting, of course), but that didn't work. Having spent a good 4 hours trying, I am simply giving up and am hoping to get feedback from Microsoft about how to make this happen. Anyone have any other suggestions? View this thread
