I get this error code when I go to the Windows Update page: 0x80070424

I don't think my computer has had any updates for a while now and I have automatic updates checked. Strangely, I had this same problem with my previous computer, also Windows XP. I've tried the solutions they offer but they don't work. I could never solve

this issue on my old computer, either. Help, please?
