Please help with the dreaded MSCVR80.dll file missing.... Pretty Please..... :-))

I recovered my windows 7 64bit laptop from failed RAM and now have a error that says MSVCR80.dll file missing. The laptop boots and the OS works fine but I can not update. I have spent numerous hours on google, you tube and microsofts tech net and I am

not getting anything that helps. Can someone help me stop this insanity? Please? I Thank you now for being my hero, who ever answers this post!!
