Administrators AWS Posted January 8, 2013 Administrators Posted January 8, 2013 I have recently purchased an upgrade license for Windows 8, which I have installed over an existing and working windows 7 OS. Only recently I have come to realize that the HDD on which Win 8 runs is an old parallel ATA drive (as opposed to newer SATA drives in the system). Therefore, I am planning to purchase a new SATA drive and clone the old system drive on this latter one. Should I expect any trouble starting-up Windows 8, from a licensing standpoint or otherwise?
