'Unspecified Error' box comes up when I click a hyperlink within a message in Windows Mail.

Cannot open any hyperlink contained in a Mail message, when using Windows Mail. But if I sign in individually to Hotmail, they do work. So it must be some element of Mail configuration. But what??
