Problems with reducing the spacing between lines in typing in Word in the WIndows 7 program

When I type in Word, in Windows 7, there is a skip pattern on about 2 lines between each line of text. This has been a problem since the beginning and no one knows how to go back to the normal spacing that Windows XP allowed.

So when you are typing a home address, for example, after the first line, there is a 2 line space before the next line. It's crazy. I have had very high tech people try to change this and everyone fails. It never happened in Windows XP.
