Can I hook-up and run a secondary 2TB internal hardrive to my existing desktop w/internal 1TB hardri

Hello y'all,

I bought a refurbished HP p6320y w/MSI motherboard,2TB hardrive,8G ram, quad-core Athlon 2.8Ghz,Win7sp1 + essentials. The 2TBhardrive took a dump. I installed a 1TB,7200rpm,Seagate hardrive to replace it until I got the original Hitachi 2TB back. Now,

I am not tech-savy enough to install/sync both hardrives internally. Can I use my new 2TB internal Hrdrive by simply plugging it in via USB, or does it need to be installed and loaded w/O.S/drivers professionally? I know its a dumb question but money is tight,

I thought its worth asking anyways.
