Administrators AWS Posted January 30, 2013 Administrators Posted January 30, 2013 I have a SONY VAIO VPCF234FD Windows 7 Home Premium 64 BIT My windows update would not start prior to the wuauserv not starting. In the past, I have rejected several times of updating and have not correctly **** down a few times. (by just pulling the power plug) This computer came with Windows 7 I have installed Norton 360 I have tried Microsoft fix it 50202, but when it was almost done, a message came up saying that I have no privilege to start the wuauserv. My BITS is working perfectly and is on Automatic (delayed), and my Windows Update service is on Automatic. Whenever I try to start the service, an error comes up saying "Windows Could not start Windows Update on local computer." I ran the Update troubleshoot and two problems came up saying that my Windows Update Components are broken - Not fixed, and the other was the wuauserv not being able to start. I tried resetting it but it still couldn't start the wuauserv with a system error 15100. I really need help on this!!! View this thread
