Administrators AWS Posted February 1, 2013 Administrators Posted February 1, 2013 I got windows 8 a few days ago and I'm trying to get all the past updates downloaded. However, the same 4 updates get to the point where it restarts and I get the message: "Error configuring updates, reverting changes". When the computer comes back up, windows update shows those updates failed with error code 80070005. Its done this 6 times. Those updates are: KB2779768 (ran through install in less than 5 seconds, then failed, no reboot new error code 80246007) KB2785094 (ran through install in less than 5 seconds, then failed, no reboot new error code 80246007) KB2770917 (ran through install in less than 5 seconds, then failed, no reboot new error code 80246007) KB2756872 (failed as before) Any ideas? Edit: started installing updates one at a time to find problems, outcome noted next to each update View this thread
