error code 0x80073cf9

I am having problems both with windows 8 update (the install gets to 30%, reboots and doesn't complete on restart.

 

Also I am having problems updating my windows apps - all give error 0x80073cf9.

 

Have tried clean boot as suggested - no luck. Any ideas?
