I have issues with xp pro service pack 3 as I lost the proplus.msi file somewhere in my system and c

When I had this computer built I had it made with MSI Wind and XP installed. The CD had issues from the get go. I have been searching and trying to use the discs and to no avail. So, I recently got Office 2003 cds and installed that instead. Is this going

to cause bad problems for the system having XP and office 2003. The Office 2003 service pack 3 updated as the xp version still failed. I would like to know if I did more harm than good by installing the 2003 version and not trying and retrying the xp cds.
