Can I uninstall .Net 3.5 before.Net 4 installation?

Currently my XP has .Net 3.5 installed, and and I would like to install .Net 4.0,

 

 

Does anyone have any suggestions whether I should install .Net 4.0 and uninstall .Net 3.5 or I should install .Net 4.0 and keep .Net 3.5?
