To "Thaw" this very inconvenient, trick, the PC must be shut down completely, left an hour or more, best if over night.

When it re-boots after a time delay, the freeze is usually gone.

 

Also help increase the mini font size to a normal "12" or so?

Formerly, I had full selections of font types and sizes. Tnx,Ed.
