What RAM memory speed fits my motherboard and processor

I am going to upgrade my pc soon, im looking now for some RAM memory.

I did some research and i think i should take 1600mhz RAM speed.

 

Processor: i7 3820 or i7 3930K

Motherboard: Asus rampage iv extreme

 

Can someone confirm this or am i wrong?
