Doesn't show full RAM on restart

ASUS desktop 64-bit Intel cpu, 9 gig RAM, Win 7 home premium. When I do a warm boot (restart) it only recognizes 6 gig RAM? It will show 9 gig most of the time on cold boot. ASUS couldn't help.
