Realtek AC'97 audio drivers not working after upgrading to Windows7 from XP Professional.

I'm refurbing an old laptop (HP Pavilion dv8000) and can not get the audio to work. I have download the drivers from the make of the audio chip on the motherborad, but it still reports not working. The chip is a Realtek AC'97. When I go to the device

manager, it I see the new drivers, but no luck loading them.
