Administrators AWS Posted February 24, 2013 Administrators Posted February 24, 2013 This is my first official post. I am using windows 7 64 bit SP1 build 7601. I am using IE 9.0.8112.16421 64 bit edition, update version 9.0.13 (KB2792100) I have tried to update MSE several times but each time it failed and i received error code "WindowsUpdate_8004FF84" "WindowsUpdate_dt000". I tried to uninstall MSE several times but it failed each time it was looking for something called "epp.msi". I downloaded MSE from the Microsoft website again, and tried to install it but again it told me that “epp.msi” was missing. I then used the Microsoft FixIt Tool -http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9748340 – which said the problems had been fixed and then tried remove MSE again but it failed, again! I then restarted. I am still unable to uninstall or update MSE using windows update. What is going on? Where can I find "epp.msi"? please help somebody, this is very frustrating. I have tried to manually uinstall it from the registry but now it still seems to be running even though it has been removed from the progam uninstall list. I am at a loss. please can someone help me. if i have left any information out that is required please just ask. View this thread
