Administrators AWS Posted February 25, 2013 Administrators Posted February 25, 2013 I have not been able to run updates for Os: Win 7, 64 bit (hp) for over a year. I had Norton preinstalled on the comp. Now I am using McAfee Total Security that I bought last week. I was using Windows essentail before. I ran the windows update tool today and got the message... error: - Windows Update components must be repaired- One or more Windows Update components are configured incorrectlywhen i viewed the event log, the specified error is as mentioned below:Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8024d00e: Windows Update Core.Please advise how to fix the error View this thread
