Hello Windows Insiders, today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25267 to the Dev Channel. TL;DR We are releasing ISOs for this build – they can be downloaded here. This build includes another good set of improvements and fixes for Insiders. Insider Windows 11 Season 2 continues with episode 4 featuring Focus and the tabs in File Explorer in the Windows 11 2022 Update. This will be our last Dev Channel flight for the holidays. Microsoft Edge WebView2 is a UI control that allows developers to embed web content into their Win32 C++, .NET, and WinUI applications. It powers many applications today such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Power BI, and Visual Studio. Earlier this summer, we announced that we were beginning to roll out WebView2 Runtime – the runtime powering WebView2 applications – to Windows 10 Consumer devices to make it easier for developers to deploy their WebView2 applications. With Windows 7 Extended Security Update (ESU) and Windows 8/8.1 end of support on January 10th, 2023, and Google Chrome ending support for Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1, Microsoft Edge browser version 109 and Webview2 Runtime version 109 will be the last respective versions to support these operating systems. Additionally, WebView2 SDK versions 1.0.1519.0 and higher will no longer support Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1. Both Microsoft Edge version 109 and Webview2 Runtime version 109 are scheduled for release the week of January 12th, 2023 (to learn more, see our release schedule).
