  1. Super glad I have a phone number to call with such a serious problem. I just restarted my computer after noticing some adobe documents were not opening. Upon restarting, I had a PESKY alert that FORCED ME to choose to backup my files using "One Drive". I clicked passed this message, because there were no other options. And noticed my screen looked very different. I navigated to the "one drive" options and immediately cancelled the "backup" option. Now, half of my documents that were previously saved on my desktop are missing and when I opened up my recycle bin, load of files, pictures and otheView the full article

  6. So recently, im pretty sure after my headset cord was ripped from my port, i noticed that sometimes, not always, a random buzzing noise will happen in my headphones. most of the time its very faint. but sometimes itll get louder, or stop. the volume of it does not change when i change system volume, but if i spin the volume thing on my headset wire, it does change. I believe this is a problem with the headset then, or maybe the port? This does not happen on other devices, such as my xbox, but i do notice on my xbox that randomly when playing a game my audio will become incredibly choppy, almoView the full article

  10. Hello, When I went to start my PC I ran into a problem i havent encountered before. My PC would get stuck on a black screen with a blue loading cursor. After waiting for 10 minutes I decided to restart it. I did this until I eventually landed on the startup repair page. I decided to roll back a windows quality update to see if this would solve the problem. But after that my PC would always blue screen the moment the startup was finished. The error reads CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED. Then the screen goes back to startup repair. When selecting any of the troubleshooting optuons none seem to work. I eveView the full article

  13. I do not have McAfee installed anywhere on my computer and never have. When the pesky McAfee popups started bombarding my computer I tried unsuccessfully following a bunch of suggested ways to stop them. NOTHING worked until I realized the culprit was the "pc app store" that had somehow installed itself on my computer. Once I found it in my installed apps and uninstalled it the popups stopped. 14. Hi everyone, just wanted to report on something that happened to me these days and was driving me crazy. My Hp laptop not even 1 year old became slow and laggish all of a sudden overnight. I tried everything trying to fix it thinking that there was something operating in the background taking all the memory. I blamed the Controls the DTS audio processing object and the Antimalware Service Executable process and they seems to take the most memory. Turns out you can't quit Antimalware Service Executable in any way, trusted me I tried, and quitting Controls the DTS audio processing object made no View the full article

  18. My User is RDP'ing from a laptop with 1920x1080 screen resolution, into her desktop with 3840x1200 screen resolution. On her laptop, she can't see the entire contents of the remote desktop so she opens windows and they can be off screen. It used to be, when you'd connect from a smaller resolution, all windows would snap to the smaller screen. This is how I control my servers. But on her laptop, even though the RDP setting it to use Full Screen, it's leaving those windows outside of her view. What's worse is that she has 2 of these monitors on her Desktop. I've still had to log into her desktoView the full article

  21. Hi, I recently bought Windows 11 pro specifically because of the sandbox feature. But when I try to initialize sandbox, 9 out of 10 times I get the error 0x80072746: "The connection to the Windows Sandbox environment was lost. An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. (0x80072746)." Sometimes (very rarely) sandbox works properly. But after I close that session and start again, 0x80072746 pops up again despite zero changes in the settings and environment. I tried sfc / scannow, stopping and starting multiple services via services.msc, reinstalling sandbox multiple times, anView the full article
  22. Two days ago, I initiated a remote full scan on one of my devices in the environment, and it still hasn't completed, even though the device appears to be active. I can't submit a new scan because the previous one is still in progress, and the option to resubmit is greyed out. I'm not even sure if the scan is functioning at all. It seems like the device might not be receiving the command. Do you have any idea why this scan is taking so long? Also wanted to ask will Defender send remote scans to devices that are noncompliant? This device is noncompliant right now and I'm wondering if this is relaView the full article

  25. Hello,On the 4th of Feb, I updated my laptop to 24H2. After an uncommonly slow update process, I tried to use it, only to find that the laptop was force-restarting itself at most 30 seconds after logging in (more precisely, about 30 seconds after the log-in screen appeared - it did so even if I left it without logging in). It was also very slow and laggy until the restarts, especially with bringing up the taskbar. The problem was fixed when I uninstalled the latest feature update, and I tried again today with the same results. I have postponed updates for five weeks, but this is the maximum alView the full article
