Previous versions of Windows allowed users to move the Task Bar (not just the Start Button) to the left side of the screen. Why is this now no longer an option? Also, custom toolbars are no longer an option. I thought Windows 10 with Office was the most hostile user interface, but it feels like Microsoft took that as a challenge.View the full article

I have an Asus ROG Stryx laptop with i7 8750H cpu. I replaced the AC9560 wifi card with intel Killer BE200/1750xw wifi card. I downloaded and installed the Killer Performance Suite 36.25.2193 package and downloaded the Microsft Killer Control Center too. The problem is that I cannot find any way to control it or get it to show download and upload speeds, etc. I have seen youtube videos show the same Killer Performance Suite that has control buttons that allow the user to select or change things and shows the download and upload speeds. My Asus GL703GM laptop is compatible but I cannot get thView the full article

I found out through task manager that there is a process called antimal service executable. This process robs up to 80% of my computers cpu at idle with no other programs or pages open. I reset the laptop after manually trying to disable it through the advice of Microsoft on one of there blogs on this topic. All to which failed, resetting the entire laptop was the only way to remove the process along with all my data and programs. I am now amazed to find out the process simply returned when I did a few updates for windows after my reset was complete. It definitely seems the updates are to blamView the full article

I keep BSOD-ing (Windows 11 laptop) when certain events happen which I believe are graphics related: when I connect my laptop to a HDMI, or when I turn on my camera on Zoom. This doesn't always happen, but it's occurred often enough to be somewhat worrying. I've attached minidump here hoping it would help. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1MSJ-ophDMp462CqTPU4-w9Qzx5FHHzTG?usp=drive_linkView the full article

I bought a new computer that has a screen resolution of 2560 X 1600 and the icons and everything is too small. So I increased the screen scaling to 150, but when I restart the computer, it goes back to the original. However, if I change the display resolution to anything and then click revert, the screen scaling will work. I have not been able to find a similar problem in the Microsoft community. What is the solution?View the full article

I'm having this issue where my audio suddenly stops working, and only returns when I switch from, let's say, DTS:X Ultra to Windows Sonic for Headphones or when I unplug my headset and plug it again. It's not an issue within my headset, or within my connections/cables, but rather from windows, as I've tried restoring it, updating drivers, etc.View the full article

I am experiencing some lags with my pc. All of the sudden it slowed down, when I try to play a game on steam it runs on 20fps, file Explorer is really slow. Uninstalling apps takes longer than usual and it keeps struggling to perform. On task manager the performance seems to be perfect. Hw info didn't show any problem as per ssd ram cpu etc. I did some sfc scannow where it found some corrupted files but it is still having issues.View the full article

I deleted one drive because I used up all of the storage and It was effecting my sims 4 game by not letting me see my mods or get into my saved progress. I looked up how to fix this issue since I am only a few cents short on the first one drive upgrade and the person in the video told me to delete it. I unlinked my account from the one drive and Loaded up the sims my save files and mods wont show up but I still have my downloaded packs. I still have the mod folder with everything inside of it under the sims game so I dont know what to do about this problem. One drive also deleted more than halView the full article

Hi! I am using Hyper-V to run a guest Windows 11 system on a host Windows 11 system. Most of the things work fine, but when I use `vmconnect.exe` to connect to the guest operating system, some of the keyboard shortcuts are consumed by the Hyper-V engine and never reach the host. In particular, this occurs with CTRL+ALT+arrows; I know that by default, CTRL+ALT+LEFT is used to release the mouse, and I changed that to CTRL+ALT+SPACE (which is definitely not the best solution but better than not having CTRL+ALT+LEFT). But CTRL+ALT+DOWN also serves some function and I can't find a way to remap it tView the full article

Repeated BSODs since recent Windows Updates, error code x133
Windows 11 posted a topic in Windows 11
Since the February Windows 11 Updates I've been getting BSODs every couple of hours, a couple of recent dump files attached.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jIa2lpdQTtdsJR_vwa8aDicGtgrUmspx/view?usp=drive_linkhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1dK5_Qx7poh2xZ--YmapCeU4b0cf2s0VX/view?usp=drive_linkI have uninstalled the updates, updated GPU drivers, updated chipset drivers and nothing seems to fix it. Installed BlueScreenView to check the dump files and can't see anything other than the kernel app ntoskrnl.exe in there, but hopefully a more experienced fixer can see something I can't.Thanks for youView the full article -
Installing today's monthly update (KB5053598)The installation got stuck for a while on 93% and i accidentally paused updates and restarted them, installation jumped to 100% and when I restarted to update, it got stuck on 0% at the "keep your computer on" screen, so after 20 mins I forced a shut down and it began to finally update properly, windows update shows it went successfully.sfc /scannow found no violations either. This is a new windows 11 laptopView the full article

The Copilot icon has begun appearing in my Outlook messages wherever I type. I am a creative fiction writer so it's of no use to me, I just find it visually distracting. But can't figure out how to turn it off. Is there any way to do this? I will have to completely stop using Outlook for email if I can't fix this.EDIT: I downgraded my subscription from Microsoft 365 Personal to Personal Classic which is not supposed to include AI, but the icon still appears and I still can't get rid of it. I tried calling the customer support number but it just tells me to go to the website, which is not helpfView the full article

Hi,I recently bought a PC. I tried to play Forza Horizon 4 on my new PC however, I came across a error. It says " Unknown software exception (0x0000008). After the error message my computer completely freezes. Also my friend bought a PC with same specs. It gives the exact error message. By the way in the error message header our .exe files are different. So I assume that this is not an issue related to the specific software.SPECS:32GB RAMRTX 40601TB SSDThanks!View the full article
