A setting page had two toggles. I choose the top one. It forced an install, then presented a QR code, realizing then I was installing a link for an Android Phone I cancelled the procedure and used the second toggle and installed Phone Link for the iPhone. Screen shot below shows Bluetooth Microsoft Support error message.Another unfortunate side effect of this corrupt install was to disable the operation of my BluetoothView the full article

  4. Hello, I was using my computer like normal, when suddenly, all things Windows 11 stopped working properly. I have not installed anything new, besides a windows update, and this issue is hard to explain as every thing windows related, suddenly has their own unique problem. Non windows programs still function correctly. Only thing that's changed is that I installed a windows update a day or two ago, otherwise, this all just came completely out of no where. I pretty much just use this system for Steam, and my music recording software, which I have had for years on this system.Windows DefendeView the full article

  6. Will deleting a driver package from an old Canon MX920 and removing all traces of it have any affect on my current Canon TR7620a installation, or does the installation of a new printer of the same manufacturer share some leftover files or DDL's with a printer that has been formerly deleted using a conventional deletion process which may leave drivers from the old printer on the hard drive..View the full article

  11. So for the last 2 months my PC has randomly turned off. 9 times out of ten it will be whilst playing a particular Steam game. But other times it's just been sitting idle and doing nothing and I can hear it restart from across the room. Usually when gaming, playing Predecessor on Steam, the PC just freezes for 2-3 seconds then auto restarts. I was having this issues all through Jan but it displayed the blue critical error screen then restarted. I did a full reformat beginning Feb but after a couple of weeks its still happening but without the blue screen of death.Found the PC crash reports.LastView the full article
  12. Hello,I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th Gen. I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and since then using the fingerprint scanner to access saved passwords causes the Windows Security popup to hang and results in a Not Responding state. This does not happen if I use the pin on the same popup. I have tried clearing temp files and other things that may be slowing my PC down but it didn't help. I have even reset the fingerprint and that didn't work either. I am looking for other ways to possibly fix this problem since something created to be convenient is getting extremely inconvenient.Any help is appreciaView the full article
