So it's true. You can't back up anything you say. You know very little

about Ubuntu. That's why you troll here and you don't help out those sorry

sacks in the Ubuntu forum with major problems.

Why should I? You want research? Do it yourself. Last I checked, I am

not your secretary.

I wouldn't entirely say all that about anyhting being better

than anyting else, but I would say they use MS Office because

that is what they have used.....generally speaking....people

don't like change....and can't adapt easily.

(Or should I say "don't think" they can adapt, so they are

afraid to try.)

That being said (probably the most over used phrase of the

last couple years), it's been my experience that the typical

users don't use anywhere near the full features of Word, and

many could get by just using Wordpad. That's not unlike a

company that will purchase a deluxe ERP program and only use

it for tracking stock and BOMs.

You asked me for links and I provided them. I ask the same of you and I get

" I tried, got bored," or "I couldn't find a link but I didn't try very hard

I must admit."

It seems to me that you are very 1 way. You ask for what you want, and get

it. If you don't then someone is an "idiot." (your words)

If someone provides you with information in the form of documentation and

data, you ignore it.

Not only is this attitude not very nice, it's just plain skewed.

You should think hard about how you want to portray yourself and change your

attitude if you want anyone to take you seriously as a Linux advocate.

On a tablet PC, something hardly anyone uses except for the new Ipad

Got one for a desktop or laptop?

As far as Ubuntu is concerned, you might want to ask on an Ubuntu forum.

You can find them at http://www.ubuntu.com/

Well said - but it is fun to point out how people royally miss the

power of OOo, just because it's different. I've seen them do it.

Total foot-in-mouth spew about how they tried some maneuver in OOo and

it didn't work - but they simply missed the way to do it, because they

are MS sheep, and have no road map for figuring anything out with

their mind, rather than Clippy, or some shit.

You keep playing with the "power of OO" and leave the real work to the rest

of the civilized world. You are too stupid to use professional software

anyway. I'll bet you sit in front of your computer watching the spinning

Uhh, OOo is not just for Linux, genius - nor do I run Linux. I'm

considered a "Wintroll" by many in the Linux-advocacy newsgroup. I

recommend OOo for Windows and Mac users, as well. No reason to use

anything else. Free, cross-platform, and incredibly powerful - and

much better designed than MSO.

You've got to remember a couple things.....

1) Most people incorrectly think that Open Source only refers

to Linux, and Linux applications. There are LOTS of open

source Windows projects....Firefox and Thunderbird are two

*extremely* popular FOSS projects.

2) Only douche-bag anti-Linux people ever say anything about
