Disable thumbnail preview auto-rotation?

I am getting flat out tired of Microsoft not only moving around (hiding) options, but completely removing them.
How the HELL do you turn off thumbnail auto-rotation?
Sorry for the frustration, I am just tired of these products working against me, not with me. Searching around, it seems others are just as confused on this option.
